WarningSum:...The Urban And Small Stream Flood Advisory Remains In Effect Until
515 Pm Mst For Southeastern Pima And Santa Cruz Counties...
Warning Message:At 302 PM MST...weather radar indicated that portions of southeast
Pima and Santa Cruz counties have received between 1.00 and 1.25
inches of rainfall over the past 60 to 90 minutes. The heaviest
rainfall has occured over the southern Patagonia Mountains between
Lochiel and Kino Springs...along Highway 82 near the Nogales
International Airport and over the Baboquivari Mountains. An
automated rain gage at the Nogales International Airport reported
1.04 inches of rain. Another automated gage near the intersection of
Sahuarita Road and Houghton reported 0.91 inches.
A weak disturbance in the middle levels of the atmosphere is pushing
west across south-central Arizona this afternoon...and will enhance
thunderstorm development across the advisory area through 515 PM
MST. The atmosphere remains very moist...and heavy rain resulting in
minor inconvenience flooding remains a threat.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
